Every few years I reinvent my on-line presence by purging content which no longer reflects who I am, distancing myself from activities I no longer wish to partake in and leaving communities I no longer have an affinity with.
That time is now; so over the last few days I've completely revamped my site. I remain using the WordPress platform but I've switched to a new theme which supports the kind of layout I'm looking for, specifically in respect of navigation and category hierarchy. The theme has been enhanced with the use of many plugins and widgets.
Using the new category structure, I've split out my writings and put them into distinct groups. 'Weekend Daddy' will be where I write about the time Zachary and I spend together along with the occasional post about my parenting philosophies. 'Technology' will be where I geek about things I'm playing with, but also expect some rants (or raves). 'Finance' has featured heavily in my career so it seems apt I write about it occasionally, either from a personal or professional standpoint; I don't expect much to come under this topic but it's there for when I get the urge. Lastly, 'Personal' will contain anything which doesn't fit into the above. Opinion pieces, travel writing, thoughts on social dynamics and interpersonal relationships will all come under this umbrella.
So for once I will have a site which I'm happy to be my 'public face' for personal and professional matters.
Onwards and upwards!
It's an amusing contrast to your black background and graphic images of yesteryear. Age certainly does funny things to a man.
